INSER is accredited by REDLARA as a GOLD Seal

For 26 years, INSER has worked with love, commitment and responsibility in the construction of a quality model based on research and application of good techniques in Assisted Reproduction (AR). As evidence of this, our Institution has been recognized by the Latin American Network of Assisted Reproduction (REDLARA) as a Fertility Center with the GOLD seal in Latin America.

Next, our scientific director, who is also deputy director of REDLARA for Colombia and its neighboring countries, Dr. Natalia Posada Villa, explains in detail the importance of being part of the Network and the meaning for an Institution to receive the GOLD seal certification.

The Latin American Network of Assisted Reproduction (REDLARA) is a scientific and educational institution, which brings together more than 90% of the centers that perform assisted reproduction techniques in Latin America.

REDLARA was formed in 1995, with the participation of 50 centers and, currently, has the affiliation of more than 200 human reproduction centers.

Its main mission is to ensure the quality of assisted reproduction services in Latin America through the accreditation of reproduction centers, collection, analysis and publication of Assisted Reproduction (AR) procedures performed in the centers affiliated to the RED through the Latin American Registry of Assisted Reproduction (RLA), continuing education and certification of professionals including doctors, laboratory technicians (embryologists and andrologists), nurses, psychologists, midwives and geneticists, among others.

It is important because it guarantees the veracity of the data published by the centers on the services they offer and their success rates, emphasizing a safe and responsible practice.

The Accreditation process promotes a better functioning of the centers associated with REDLARA.

This accreditation process began in 1997, with the aim of promoting a better functioning of the centers associated with REDLARA.

Requirements for Accreditation:

Have current legal status

Comply with the health regulations of your country and those requested by REDLARA

Report your results to the Latin American Registry of Assisted Reproduction (RLA)

Agree to pay the fee for the visit.

Stages of the accreditation process:

1. The centre must express its interest in belonging to REDLARA by filling out an admission form that can be downloaded from the website www.redlara.com

2. Report the data or results of the assisted reproduction cycles of the year prior to the RLA through online format.

3. Scheduling of an accreditation visit, carried out by one or two REDLARA accreditors (usually a clinician and/or a biologist).

4. Comply with the minimum quality standards required by REDLARA in terms of facilities, equipment, personnel, processes-procedures and results.

INSER was certified by REDLARA in 2000. From now on, it has reported all its indicators every year, managing to remain with its accreditation for more than 20 years.

The GOLD certification indicates that the Institution sent its results to the RLA and complied with the accreditation requirements demanded by RedLara for the year 2020. This means that INSER validated its techniques, success rates and professional team under the standards required by this regulator that seeks to ensure that reproduction centers are transparent, of quality and with integrity every day.

It is important because it guarantees the veracity of the data published by the centers on the services they offer and their success rates, emphasizing a safe and responsible practice towards patients, their future pregnancies and the health of their children.

With this certification, INSER ratifies its great commitment to good practices in the management of its fertility treatments, which day by day help thousands of families who dream of making the desire to have a child come true.
