2019: The Year of Making Dreams Come True
A new year begins and it is the time when we all rethink our lives and look within ourselves for new goals and projects to fulfill. In the heat of the New Year’s holidays, we think about what we have and what we lack and that is why we make promises that are oriented in favor of our health, our well-being and our happiness.
It is common that at this time of year we all consider new directions, convinced that it is the best decision for ourselves: “this year I do exercise” “this year if I quit smoking” “this year I will read more books” “this year I do have a baby”. Unfortunately, the months go by and we see that what we want so much for ourselves we put aside and do not keep, and those promises of which we are so convinced are kept in a drawer.
So, what can we do so that in the next 12 months we can turn those dreams into a wonderful reality? Some tips to meet our goals in 2019 are:
1. Write down what you want to achieve: In a notebook, write down those things you want to achieve in this new year. When you’re done writing them, place that list in a visible place like a mirror, your closet, or next to your bed. This way you will be able to remember them every day and you will join efforts to fulfill them in your daily life.
2. Find the reasons that push you to choose your goals: If you want to fulfill a dream, it is because there is something in your heart that tells you that it is the best thing for your life. Think about the reasons why you want to change and it will be much easier to focus on what you want to achieve.
3. Look for resources to achieve your goals: when renewing your life, look for support from your friends and family to help you on this new path. Talk about these new perspectives with your loved ones and ask them for advice on how to grow and be better every day.
4. Create positive habits to achieve your goals: If you are convinced that you are embarking on a new path to improve your life, it is necessary that you remove from your life those people or situations that do not help you grow. Analyze what are the reasons that can make it difficult to meet your goals and make improvements to clean your path to happiness.
5. Analyze your fears: in some cases, we are frustrated when it comes to meeting our goals because we have blocks that do not help us become the people we want to be. To counteract this situation, look for some kind of therapy where you can delve into your interior and thus bring out those shadows that prevent you from achieving everything you set out to do.
