Biography

Dr. Rodrigo Henao Flórez is a surgeon graduated from the Universidad del Norte (Barranquilla) and a specialist in Gynecology and Obstetrics from the University of Caldas (Manizales). Later, she completed her subspecialization in Human Reproduction at Inser Medellín, where she consolidated her clinical and human approach in the accompaniment of couples with reproductive desire.

He holds additional training in laparoscopic and hysteroscopic surgery from the Instituto Europeo de Ciencias Endoscópicas in Caracas (Venezuela), as well as in gynecologic and obstetric ultrasound (Levels I and II) from Universidad Pontificia Bolivariana. Furthermore, he earned a specialization in Health Management from Universidad de Cartagena, enabling him to integrate medical leadership with a focus on delivering high-quality patient care.

His professional career in reproductive medicine began in the Coffee Axis, where for more than thirteen years he was part of the medical team at Inser in Pereira and Manizales, helping hundreds of families fulfill their dream of having a child. During this time, he also served as a professor in the areas of gynecology, obstetrics, and clinical sexology at the University of Caldas and the Universidad Visión de las Américas. He is currently a professor in the agreement between Inser and the specialization in Gynecology and Obstetrics at the University of Cartagena.

Dr. Henao actively participates in scientific and trade organizations. He has been a member of the boards of directors of entities such as the Colombian Association of Reproduction Centers (Accer) and Asomenopause, and has been named an honorary member of the Spanish Society of Gynecology and Obstetrics.

With more than thirteen years of experience in the diagnosis and treatment of infertility, his practice is characterized by a comprehensive and personalized approach. Today, he serves as medical director of the Inser Barranquilla headquarters, from where he leads access to cutting-edge technologies and specialized care in assisted reproduction for the Colombian Caribbean region.
