Inser, present at the XVII Biennial Congress of Gynecology and Obstetrics of FECOLSOG

InSer’s medical team had an outstanding participation in the recent FECOLSOG Biennial Congress of Gynecology and Obstetrics held in Bogotá. Learn more about the research presented at this event, below.

InSer’s commitment to its patients goes beyond offering them the best solutions and treatments so that they can have the family they always dreamed of: also, its medical team is focused on delving into the possible causes that generate these difficulties, studying them and making them known to the scientific community, to achieve advances in this area not only in the country but throughout the world.

That is why, at the last FECOLSOG Gynecology and Obstetrics Congress, the works presented by InSer specialists achieved a great reception not only among the attending public but also in the qualifying jury of this important event, with diverse research in this field of human reproduction.

With the first research, which was based on a demographic study of egg donor women, it was possible to characterize this population, study its management in the various reproduction centers of the country and homogenize these data with other countries in the world.  With this important research, InSer was among the most outstanding works in the Poster category.

The second presentation, nominated in the Oral Presentation category, consisted of showing the work that InSer has done in Colombia with patients who have had a spontaneous pregnancy after an Isthmoplasty, surgery that consists of the correction of the internal scar of the uterus after one or more cesarean sections. This scar can be the cause of many cases of secondary infertility (which consists of the inability to have a new pregnancy in women who have already had children) and is an important object of study to help women who want to become mothers again.

The third work presented was in the Video category and was entitled Laparoscopic Istmoplasty Assisted by Hysteroscopy. This presentation  was the winner of the first place and was led by Dr. Juan Luis Giraldo with the accompaniment of the InSer team and the presentation of Dr. Walter Osorio. During this presentation, uterine surgery was discussed, but performed on patients who need a more complex alternative due to healing defects due to their cesarean sections.

For InSer, it is essential that its team of specialists are trained day by day in the area of human fertility. For this reason, and in order to achieve greater progress in this area, it is that its  Grupo Humano will continue to research so that many more people can conquer the greatest desire of their lives.
