How does the 4 cycles of In Vitro Program offered by InSer work?

When a couple begins an In Vitro fertilization process, the most common thing is that they have already come a long way immersed in pessimism and despair: negative pregnancy tests, miscarriages, health problems, etc., which makes these people feel very confused, anxious and sad about the impossibility of having a child. In addition, in these couples who must face fertility treatment, the economic factor weighs (and a lot), as they do not know for sure how much money they will have to invest in that great dream of becoming parents.

The In Vitro Fertilization program is an assisted reproduction treatment in which eggs and sperm are joined in a laboratory. An In Vitro program includes six fundamental procedures for achieving future pregnancy:

  • Ovulation induction (for all cycles): By medical indication, the patient must apply medications to stimulate egg production, a process that is monitored between 9 and 12 days by the specialist doctor through ultrasounds.
  • Egg retrieval: It is a procedure by which the eggs previously stimulated in induction are obtained. This is done in the procedure room under anesthesia.
  • Semen processing and storage: If there is no medical contraindication, the partner’s sperm can be obtained by stimulation, to later be processed in the laboratory and prepare the sample for fertilization.
  • Fertilization and embryo culture: In the laboratory, the eggs are inseminated with sperm and the process of fertilization and growth of the embryos is monitored, which are left to grow in the laboratory for 3 to 5 days, before transferring them to the mother’s uterus.
  • Embryo transfer: A procedure by which embryos are transferred to the mother’s uterus.
  • Embryo freezing and preservation: The remaining good quality embryos not transferred can be preserved for later use.

The success rates of In Vitro Fertilization vary between 40 and 45%, but it is known that in many cases a couple needs more than one attempt to achieve pregnancy. For this reason, Inser developed the comprehensive four-cycle program as a very beneficial alternative on a physical and emotional level for couples, because by increasing the number of attempts (4 fertilizations and embryo culture), the success rate to achieve pregnancy can increase to 80%, something that reassures and excites people involved in a highly complex fertility treatment.

Another advantage of the comprehensive program of four In vitro cycles is that patients know that from the beginning of it all the possible changes that the specialist suggests to achieve pregnancy are covered, such as embryo transfer, cryopreservation of eggs and sperm, fertilization through donors, etc., which makes the couple Don’t have to worry about out-of-pocket costs that weren’t included at the start of treatment.

In addition, Inser’s comprehensive program of four In Vitro cycles can become a very important emotional strengthening opportunity for the couple, since the proper management of the situations of the process allows the development of trust and nurtures perseverance in a common goal. In addition, it fosters personal and couple growth, improves emotional coping and the effective response to unexpected results and strengthens hope, life project and decision-making and sharing.
